Primary Purpose
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service & Installation Technician – Nurse Call, is responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing a variety healthcare technologies, including but not limited to nurse call systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Service, diagnose, troubleshoot issues, repair, and maintain nurse call systems (network electronic systems and software).
• Correspond with customers consistently to ensure proper service and installs are completed correctly and up to standards.
• Commission front-end workstations & servers.
• Read and understand existing installations and as-built drawings.
• Perform assigned preventative maintenance, repair and emergency service requests.
• Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with employees, managers and external individuals across various departments.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, OR at least 2 years of equivalent job-related experience.
• 2+ years’ experience with nurse call systems is strongly preferred.
• Strong networking ability and understanding of operating systems.
• 2+ years’ experience in system integration, network topology, and virtual environments.
• Technical writing skills to support documentation of completing of work / problem resolution / solution improvement.
• Eligibility to work in the Canada.
• Flexibility to be on call (shifts alternate between technicians).
• Ability to travel to various worksites within the GTA and Ontario region.
• Must-have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is highly preferred.
